Betsy Myers to Present Leadership Workshop

On Wednesday, April 25, IWLC’s leadership event, The State of Change 2012, will begin with a morning workshop led by Betsy Myers, founding director of the Center for Women in Business at Bentley University. Myers’s presentation at IWLC’s leadership luncheon in Des Moines last November drew rave reviews from attendees.

The April 25 leadership workshop will begin at 9 a.m. at the Coralville Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, and will be based on lessons shared by Myers in her new book, Take the Lead: Motivate, Inspire and Bring Out the Best in Yourself and Everyone Around You.

In the book, Myers asserts that “the emerging need is not simply for better leadership but for a new kind of leadership, one based on listening, transparency, and a fundamental honoring of relationships.”
