“Shark Tank” entrepreneur Barbara Corcoran to deliver luncheon keynote at 2012 IWLC leadership event April 25

Entrepreneur, author, and media star Barbara Corcoran will be the keynote speaker at the Iowa Women’s Leadership Conference day-long event, “The State of Change 2012,” on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Corcoran, the subject of this month’s Entrepreneur magazine cover story, also stars on the ABC reality show “Shark Tank.”

The April 25 event opens with a 90-minute pre-luncheon workshop led by Betsy Myers, Founding Director of the Center for Women & Business at Bentley University. Myers received rave reviews as the keynote speaker at IWLC’s November 2011 leadership luncheon in Des Moines.

Following luncheon, attendees will participate in an interactive work session on improving conditions for women and girls throughout the state of Iowa.

“The State of Change 2012,” which also will include multiple exhibitors and networking opportunities, is expected to attract 900 current and aspiring leaders from throughout the region. Sign language interpreters will be present at all April 25 events, including the Betsy Myers workshop, Barbara Corcoran luncheon, and post-lunch Ideals to Action work session.
