Her journey to leadership has been centered in learning and she has worked in every level of education from elementary teacher to graduate school faculty member. Dr. Stephanie Pace Marshall speaks internationally about shaping the next generation of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) leaders. According to Dr. Marshall, "The future prosperity and sustainability of our global community resides in igniting, nurturing, and connecting our children's creativity and imagination to the needs of the Pace Marshall world."

Honors and honorary appointments
In recognition of her leadership, scholarship and pioneering achievements, Dr. Marshall was inducted into the Illinois Hall of Fame in 2005 and received Illinois' highest honor, election into the Lincoln Academyas a Lincoln Laureate, a distinction given to those whose achievements "contributed to the betterment of mankind."

Dr. Marshall's influence is making a difference around the world. In 2007, she was invited by President Clinton to become a member of the Clinton Global Initiative.At the invitation of Mikhail Gorbachev, she became a member of the State of The World Forum, an international "think-tank" designed to study and resolve issues impacting global sustainability.The Chicago Sun Times selected her as one of the ten most powerful women in education and one of the 100 most powerful women in Chicago.
