Personal Development Workshops

The chance to learn, interact and be inspired is being extended beyond the originally planned two-day conference, with the introduction of personal development workshops the first day. Adding an extra half-day to the conference gives attendees the chance to spend a substantial block of time on professional development topics. It is designed to be a substantial value-added opportunity for women wishing to enhance their management and interpersonal skills.

Networking Dinners

Listening to the feedback from the 2007 Choosing to Lead conference, conference planners have come up with a unique way to give attendees considerable time to interact with each other in small group settings. Dinner on Thursday evening will take attendees away from the conference center, and give women time to meet and network with each other in a more intimate setting. Attendees will sign up for a Networking Dinner with 15-20 other conference attendees. These dinners, at local restaurants, will provide a relaxed setting for women leaders to interact with each other. It will also provide a warm, personal setting for dinner in one of Coralville/Iowa City’s fine restaurants with some of the area’s most influential women.
