FAQ
Who should attend the 2010 Women's Leadership Conference Luncheon?
For many women and their families today, financial stability seems further out of reach than ever before. That's why Suze Orman's keynote address, Own the Power to Control Your Destiny, is so timely and so important. Whether you're a current leader, an aspiring leader, or just trying to make ends meet, Suze's words of wisdom will help put you back in charge.
What will I get out of the luncheon that I couldn't simply find in one of Suze's books?
Suze Orman is recognized as one of the top motivational speakers in the world. Although her books are award-winning best sellers, there's no substitute for seeing Suze in person. If you've watched her show, you're familiar with her no-nonsense approach to money matters and with her ability to relate to her audience. This is not-to-be missed opportunity - to not only to spend time with Suze, but to meet and network with women who, like you, are eager to gain control over their financial destiny.
What else can I expect to take away from attending the Women's Leadership Conference Luncheon?
Expect to be informed and challenged. Expect to take notes and make connections with dozens of new friends, colleagues, and potential mentors. Expect to have fun and be well fed. And expect to be very glad you came!
How did the idea from this conference come about?
The program is a response to an identified void in advanced educational programming targeted toward established female executives, elected officials, academics and other professional women. Originally spearheaded by Donna Katen-Bahensky, now CEO of University of Wisconsin Hospitals & Clinics, the program premiered to overwhelming success, and has grown each year.
Who plans the Choosing to Lead events?
Choosing to Lead consists of a dynamic program defined by some of the most influential women leaders in Iowa’s Technology Corridor. From CEOs of corporations, to government officials and non-profit leaders, these women represent all facets of age, ethnicity and backgrounds. Their diversity encompasses the spirit of working together as they have created a relevant and vibrant program for women in leadership.
